How to Add Genie+ To Your Disney Vacation
Adding Genie+ is a great way to maximize your time in the parks. It costs $15 + tax per person per day and there are two ways to add it to your park day. If you want a bigger overview of Genie+, visit my blog post here to learn more about how it works.
Add it to your package
The first way to add Genie+ to your trip is to add it to your package or ticket purchase. If you utilized a Travel Agent, they can add this on to your package or ticket purchase for you. Just let them know that’s what you are wanting. This will add it to every park day of your trip. It allows you to have instant access to it for each park day without needing to make additional purchases. All you have to do is open the app the morning of your park visit and make your first selection by 7 am.
Add it Day Of your visit
The second way to add Genie+ to your park day is to manually add it via the My Disney Experience app. You will be able to add it starting at midnight the night before your park day. This obviously adds another step to your process in the morning or late at night. You will also need to add it the day-of if you purchased your tickets from a third party, have an Annual Pass, or want to only utilize Genie+ only on certain park days.
To add it in the My Disney Experience app, login and select the My Day feature from the main screen. Next, you’ll see a purple banner that says “Take your day to the Next Level”. Select the "Get Disney Genie+ Service" button to begin. You’ll confirm that you want to add Genie+ service and then confirm who is in your party and finalize your purchase.
